"The main advantage is that you do away with light bulb changes.  We change 20-30 bulbs in every garage every month and that gets very expensive"

Fishers Business Emerges as an Industry Leader in Green Space

Published Wednesday, August 3, 2011 by Jeff Pinyot

Nearly five years ago, a small engineering based business emerged in the Fishers Office Suites, the two-story yellow building in downtown Fishers.  Level Solutions, Inc., originally an HVAC super-rep agency started by Steve Little and Jeff Pinyot, has emerged as an industry leader in the Green Space.  After Dave Packard joined the two, they continued their way in the HVAC world, but also emerged as a national player in energy efficient lighting, with their ECO Parking Lights brand.

Hailing from engineering programs from the Big Ten and the Big East, the partners considered entering the lighting world after being introduced to a lighting technology called Induction lighting.  After extensive equipment testing and a thorough market analysis, the men concluded that the product was perfectly suited to parking garages.  They were right.  The team designed multiple fixtures to suit that industry and today, manufactures their own product line that has been used across the country in new and existing parking garages.

The ECO Parking Lights division of Level Solutions has become the authority on Induction lighting throughout the United States, lecturing and writing on the subject of Green Lighting technologies at symposiums and in periodicals across the country.

The lure of the Green Industry drew these men to jump in with both feet (actually six feet).  The company’s copyrighted slogan – “Green That Makes Cents!” – really says it all.  Rather than jumping on the Green bandwagon and getting people to buy on feeling good about going green, their products actually make financial sense – and the environment wins, too!

The town of Fishers has an emerging ‘Green Giant’ on their hands.  The town has already embraced their Induction technology by using ECO’s area lighting on the new Cyntheanne Park.  In addition, Bangs Laboratories in Fishers used the same fixtures on their new renovated headquarters.  ECO’s newest division, ECO Lighting Solutions and principle William Longardner has already filed a patent on their revolutionary new Induction retrofit kit.

The company’s marquee project in Indy is the Indianapolis International Airport Parking Garage.  Despite the garage only being in service for a short time, replacing the components of the existing parking garage fixtures with the ECO Parking Lights engineered Green Solution will have a rapid payback.  The project is moving forward and has just been awarded to the company.  ECO won this bid against lighting proposals from across the US.

Whether it’s lights on the entire campus of Texas A&M University or across the IUPUI campus, to hybrid electric bikes on patrol at Virginia Commonwealth University, or energy efficient HVAC, Level Solutions and its lighting division of ECO Parking Lights is Greening America – one project at a time – from the Heartland – from Fishers, USA!
